"Involved Parents Make a Difference"
PTO/Booster Club Goal
The main goal of the NCCHS PTO/BOOSTER Club is to make a positive difference in the education experience of all NCCHS students and to supply important information to parents, as well as students; at the same time encourage school spirit and pride in being a "North Chicago Warhawk".
Meetings
PTO meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 6pm in the high school's library. The next meeting is scheduled for September 18, 2008.
The Booster Club meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. If there is a change of schedule; we will make every attempt to email all who have furnished a working email address and to post a notice at the front door.
Membership
Membership cards for the school year 2008-09 are available for $5 per card (for either PTO Booster Club). The fee goes to supply our scholarship fund for graduating senior students. Along with that membership comes the opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder with other concerned parents to make our school the best it can be!
How To Volunteer?
NCCHS loves and welcomes volunteers! We now have a volunteer sign in notebook in the main office. Make sure you sign in and out each time you volunteer; in order to be recognized by the school district at the annual "Volunteers Appreciation Banquet" in the spring!
Did you know that volunteering in School District 187 is also a competitive matter? The school with the most volunteers for the school year wins the Volunteers of the Year trophy to be displayed in the winning school building for 1 school year.
For the 2007-08 school year, NCCHS made history by becoming the "Volunteer School of the Year!". We are looking forward to a repeat; or just have an enjoyable year trying!
