A practice ACT includes academic abilities, inventory, interest and assessment of study skills. Predicts an ACT score. |
Fall-Sophomore Year |
PSAT |
A practice SAT. Administered during the school day. Results are returned (with test booklets) to Juniors in early December. Used by National Merit and other scholarship agencies. Sophomores may elect to take. |
Fall- Junior Year |
PSAE |
Administered in April over tow days. The Prairie State Achievement Examination measures the achievement of grade 11 students relative to the Illinois Learning Standards for reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social science. Fees are paid at registration. The PSAE includes the ACT with the writing component. |
Spring- Junior Year |
SAT I |
Measures developed reasoning ability in verbal and quantitative areas, and writing section. |
Spring-Junior Year Fall- Senior Year |
SAT II |
Achievement tests in specific subject areas, I e, American History Chemistry, Spanish, and Math. |
End of Junior Year Mid Senior Year |
ACT |
American College Testing. Achievement testing in English, Math, Science, Reasoning, Reading, and Composite. Optional writing section. |
Spring-Junior Year |
AP |
Advance Placement exam. Taken at the conclusion of an AP (College level) course. AP courses follow a nationally standardized curriculum; college credit , placement or exemption may be earned. |
