Last season, the team had a record of 25-5 eventually losing to state champion Marshall at the Super- Sectionals.
Additionally, Coleman was named District 6 Coach of the year. This past season, Kentrall Wilson, Deshawn Chambliss and Keith Ford were named to the All-Conference and All-Lake County. Keith Ford was also named to the All-State team. The last player named to an All- State team was in 1975.
Program Description
The team won the St. Patrick’s Thanksgiving Tournament and again were the Prairie Division Champs before winning the 3 A Regional and 3 A Sectional Finals. Lost to Zion Benton in an exciting home game for the Conference Championship where Michael Turner’s jersey was retired.
The sophomore and freshmen teams also were very successful and our 8th grade middle school team was also the Lakeside Conference Championships.
Coach Coleman is a motivator for players on the court and more importantly in the classroom. The program provides opportunities to participate in the off season that helps to further the athletes’ abilities and improve their options to obtain a college scholarship. Three players from this past season sign with Morton College.
