Welcome to North Chicago High School Library
We are open from 7:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m.
We offer before and after school study hall for our students. Our students also have the opportunity to utilize the library during their lunch period for special projects, assignments, study or personal preference. We have several search engines for research and resources. We have a wide variety of fictional books, magazines, computers, and are gradually adding to our collection. Please feel free to stop by and browse our collection and services.

million full-text and full-image articles. You can browse Journals, Magazines, and Articles. - Career Cruising: An interactive career resource designed for people of all ages. Find the right career, explore different career options, or plan future education and training options using this resource.
- Destiny: Brings our entire district’s automation together on one server. Provides circulation, cataloging, searching, and reporting. Promotes student achievement and strengthens the library-curriculum connection throughout the district.

Additional Information
- Library hours 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
- Students must have passes from teachers once the school day begins-No passes required before or after school.
- The Library will be open during each lunch period, or get a pass from Library staff prior to going to lunch, go to lunch then use the pass to leave the lunchroom to return to the Library.
- All materials are to be checked out properly. No materials are to be removed by students or staff unless the proper procedure is followed. Magazines, newspapers and reference books are to remain in the Library at all times.
- Faxes will be transmitted by Library staff only.
Admission Procedures
Students coming to the Library during lunch periods should follow procedures and regulations as described in Step #3 above. Students who eat lunch and then come to the library must have a “Cafeteria” to Library Pass,” with a Library staffs’ signature only.
