Welcome To North Chicago Community High School! North Chicago Community High School is a comprehensive high school serving the North Chicago and the Great Lakes Naval communities. NCCHS offers honors and AP Courses in the core classes; and the school has a partnership with the College of Lake County for our students to enroll in several technical programs at the college. NCCHS offers extensive electives classes to supplement the regular academic programs. The school has a state- of-the-art broadcast studio where students are provided an intensive Communication Arts program. The school also has an Academy of Finance and Freshman academy to provide personalized instruction for many of our students. Beginning the second semester of 2007-08, NCCHS will offer the NovaNet program for credit recovery for our students. In addition, NCCHS has a Navy ROTC program that has received State and National recognitions. NCCHS has a rich tradition of having outstanding athletic programs, and that tradition continues to flourish in basketball, football, track, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling, to name a few. As the school begins its partnership with High Schools That Work, NCCHS is prepared to meet the challenges of preparing our students for college, the workforce, and responsible citizenship as we "Soar Into The Future." |
